I have been pushing Mason hard lately to make sure he tells me when he needs to go potty. He Has been doing so well, for a 2 year old who doesn't want to talk he sure has no problem telling me what he wants and needs. He tells me when ever he needs to go to potty during the day and we have only had 2 accidents in the last 3 weeks! I'm so proud of my little man! We've started trying to get him to go at night now, and have cut diapers completely out of our life. We started putting on big boy undies at bed time 12 days ago, it wasn't going well Mason would just end up peeing in his bed, then go sleep on the floor. I was so confused by this, so I started putting him to bed with just a shirt on, no undies or pants so he could surely get up and make it to the potty. and like magic he does! I really think the trick the the potty training game is to let the kids run naked, that way the second they tell you they need to go potty all that needs to be done is the sprint and sit as we call it around here. mason has about 1 minute after he tells us he needs to go potty to make it there. if not all hope is lost LOL. During the day I bet the whole neighbor hood knows exactly what we're doing b.c as soon as he signs potty, we start yelling and running "GO. GO. GOOOOOOOO" and dart to the potty seat.
I ordered Mason the Piperlime Dog Backpack for $20 and plan to put in it exciting gifts for him for his success with potty training! New undies, books, toys, ect. He will be so excited! he loves helping me carry my backpack and purse, and now he will have his own. I plan to use this for him when we go out, or he stays with family, putting in it an extra change of pants just in case! but now he can be a big boy and carry it! I'm so excited and can't wait for it to be delivered! (Here is the link to the backpack below.)

Mason has an opportunity to start Pre-Preschool this fall, the stipulations are that he needs to be potty trained and have communication skills. and We are almost there, he is potty trained, and knows Sign Language, and a few words. We are working with the Early On program in our area to help him use and strengthen the muscles in his mouth, I am hopeful that he will catch on this summer, and be ready for the program this fall!
Couponing has turned out to be great! I made a coupon box to organize my coupons, and have been keeping it going, I love seeing my bill at go down just from the little coupons! Its so exciting knowing how much money we are saving!
